Outdoor School for All is working to fully fund a week of Outdoor School for every 5th or 6th grade student in the state of Oregon. Currently we are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our team as an intern.
An internship with us will give you the experience and skills you need to jump-start your career in non-profits, campaigns, organizing, and communications. You will gain insight into the operations of running an advocacy campaign. This is an incredible opportunity for those looking to build their resumes, make a difference in their community, and earn a competitive edge in the job market.
Our ideal intern is someone who is friendly, has a strong work ethic, and knows how to be a good team player.
- Enthusiasm and a friendly personality.
- Passion for social/environmental issues.
- Strong communication skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Strong and reliable work ethic.
- Experience with data entry and taking notes.
- Experience in writing targeted communications (social media, news articles, etc).
Intern will receive specialized VAN database training for running campaigns. Intern will assist Grassroots Organizer with research, data entry, record keeping, event tabling, volunteer engagement, event planning, social media, and targeted communications.
Application accepted on a rolling basis. Students are typically expected to work 10-20 hours a week; however, we are willing to accommodate students with busier schedules or those seeking more than 20 hours a week of hands-on experience. This is an unpaid internship, but can most likely be used to earn college credit. It can last one or two terms.
We greatly encourage a diverse set of applicants, especially women and people of color.
