ACT NOW: EMAIL THE WAYS AND MEANS COMMITTEE
67% of Oregon voters said yes to our measure in November, allocating 4% of our state’s lottery funds so every 5th or 6th grader could get a full week of outdoor education. So why are we still working so hard for funding?
Any statutory measure passed by voters is subject to revision, alteration, or even repeal by the state legislature. It is only constitutional amendments that are free from legislative tampering. This is the year the legislature reviews the will of voters and solidifies the program moving forward.
We are confident that the legislature will honor what voters have already decided…
As long as they hear from you!
ACT NOW: PROTECT OUTDOOR SCHOOL FUNDING AT THE STATE LEGISLATURE
Oregon schools and the education of our children must remain a priority in this next legislative session. Legislators will be contending yet again with budget decisions that will affect all Oregonians. We need your help to ensure Oregon legislators uphold Measure 99 and fully fund Outdoor School for our students. Please sign up here to tell state leaders the budget must include the full funds decided by Measure 99 for Outdoor School programs.
